USATF completely botches selection of 2019 Pan American Games team

The problem with USATF is that there is not any way to hold them accountable for what they do wrong. We see this over and over. When you have corruption and ineptitude at the top it trickles all the way down and through the organization. The sitting board is just as bad.

Until you have an active progressive board acting as an oversight group making corrective actions, this means firing and hiring, nothing will change.

Glad to hear that the board knows about it. USATF has refused to own up to this in a single press release. There is a federal law about the Pan Am Games, the screw it up and then don't tell anyone about it.

I know his performance came after the fact of the original press release for the PanAm games on June 24th (so Travis and Bernard both had a faster time than him at that point in time) but it is kind of ironic Jordan Mann was taken off the team and now has a faster season best of 8:26 (June 30th at Princeton) than Travis Mahoney (8:28 at Stanford on May 2) and Bernard Keter (8:29 on June 6th in Portland).
