I not saying I agree with Sanders fully, I’m simply pointing out that certain subsidies and unpaid loans are acceptable to many conservatives.

I'm a conservative, but prefer the free market ideal, which would try and keep subsidies out, and not forgive unpaid loans. But as with all things, there are exceptions.
One of the things that bugs me in the current environment is that all the candidates are looking for that perfect 15 second sound bite; which means we don't get any depth to their actual arguments. For these kinds of issues, it'd be nice if there was more elaboration directly from the candidate and not filtered by any in the media.
