I thought it was a step in the right direction when my parents sat down with my brother to discuss his drinking, and he actually admitted that he has a problem and agreed to try to slow down. But then suddenly my parents told me that I am not allowed to have alcohol in the house anymore because he has a problem. Sucks to be punished for someone else's mistakes.
I even offered to get a mini-fridge and keep my beer in my room, but "that would be too much of a temptation." Umm, excuse me, but my stuff is only a temptation to someone else if that person is planning to steal my sh!t.
Sometimes I just feel like the weakest people get given the most. Here I'm a grown man and I can't even have a beer with dinner because I happen to be related to someone who has no self control.
