Will never happen. He suffers from a unique blood condition which causes him to lapse into a coma if he runs more than one kilometer on the flat.
There was an interesting thread on here last night speculating his potential based upon some uphill half he'd done. The OP was guessing around 1:05 for a flat half.
I compared one of his uphill mile times against mine for a particular elevation gain, multiplied that by 13, took that off my half PR and the result seemed consistent with that estimate. Don't know if anyone else has done that?
However, whilst his uphill / trail abilities are unparalleled I don't suppose that translates to anything particularly amazing on the flat. Therefore I was wondering whether his sponsors would ever allow him to run a flat marathon? Seems no real value other than to deflate some of his mythos...
Maybe he could do 2:30, but we'll never know. Guys like Journet and triathletes are very shy of doing legitimate races on measured courses; too much ego to bruise with a mid-pack time.

Personal animosity without meeting a person and at your advanced age? You must be beyond repair sad, lonely, old man.

Seems you're a little delusional. This must be your first day on LRC.
Does it really matter. He could run 2:10 and LR would still talk about how he is a hobby jogger.

Too bad. Old slob. Virus on LRC.

Rupp has run 2:06 twice. Killian should be capable of at least 2:05.
LOL. He will never do it because the whole scam is up then. Remember Matt Carpenter? He came down from his holy mountain once for the trials and scurried back.
This thread is entirely retarded. How about one where we ask how would Kipchoge do at Hardrock 100?
Here's a wild guess: he wouldn't come within hours of Killian's course record, yet Kipchoge is maybe 18 or so minutes faster than Killian in a road marathon.

I would say it hasn't gone full retard just yet. Never go full retard.
Kilian could run 2:30-2:35

A little better than Anton Krupicka and Scott Jurek with some vegan Shiahito pepper butt

Well to be fair relatively speaking he would be.
This isn't a point of frothing the usual "well I bet he's be faster than you, jealous much?" nonsense. It's an interesting and legitimate question of where he'd stack up against the world's greatest distance runners. And if 2:10 was the best he had then yes comparatively speaking he wouldn't be at the races.
I've run 2:35:08, and I'm pretty sure Kilian would leave me for dust.

Thank you for this. We still have plenty of retard runway to work with here. It would be a shame to give up on this one so easily.
He does occasionally post flat workouts on his instagram story. Seen it a couple times this spring, both times have been 3x5km at about 15min, which does indicate that he has some speed on the roads as well. Assuming 3:00min/km is roughly his threshold pace, he should be able to run at least a 2:15 marathon.

RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
