Recap : Good fulfilling week. The meet on Tuesday was a duel meet, and I got third. I tried to balance the week out more since I was on a fast course Saturday I wanted my legs to be feeling good Saturday morning. For still doing 60 miles per week + and already getting my goal I’m super happy to see what happens when I start to back off a bit, and get three- four more solid workouts in. My splits on Saturday for the first two miles were 5:15/5;15, not too sure on the last 1.1 but I fell off a tad. Still, that’s progress from where I was two weeks ago. My goal was sub 16:30 and top 10, I got 9th which was sweet to get both goals. Gonna keep grinding, I have on more high mileage week then im gonna start dropping weekly mileage by 10% each week.
Monday : 4 miles AM / 6 miles PM
Tuesday : 2 Mile WU / 5k ~ 16:47 / 4 mile CD
Wednesday : 4 miles AM / 60 mins easy (8.5 miles)
Thursday : 4 miles AM/ 1.35 WU / 20 min fartlek / 10 min CD (4.20)
Friday : super easy 30 mins + some ST (3.60)
Saturday : 10 min WU (1.10 miles) / 5k ~ 16:24.5 / 1.75 CD
Sunday : Easy 90 minutes (12.60)
Total : 63.3
