Decided to use my last week of summer as a down week. Was nice to give my body a little break before I start racing. My goal is to hit 64+ this season mileage wise until I get near championship, then I’ll start cutting back slowly. My first race is this upcoming Thursday and I’m pretty amped up not gonna lie, hopefully I get to see what fitness I’m in. My coach has my goal pace by the end of the year at 5:10, seems crazy to me I can’t fathom holding that for 3.1 miles, but I do have 2 months to see exactly what my limits are.
Monday : 8 miles easy
Tuesday : complete off day, rest
Wednesday : 4 miles AM : PM workout totaling 8.5 miles
Thursday : 8 miles easy
Friday : 1.5 WU/ 3x2 mile tempo cut down (11:59)(11:53)(11:44) 2 mile CD ; PM 4 miles
Saturday : shorter LR, comfortable 11 miles
Sunday : 7 miles recovery, slow
Total : 60
