Over the summer, I will be working on a construction site, doing some sort of manual labor. Nothing too serious, just things like painting, house remodeling, etc. 5 days a week, from 6:30 AM-5 PM.
I would ideally like to maintain my weekly mileage of 75 mpw. Today was the first day of work, and I woke up at 4:15 AM to run before work. My Monday-Friday schedule would look something like:
4:15 am - wake up
5:00 am- run (8-12 miles)
6:30 am - boss picks me up for work
7:00 am-5:00 pm - work (lunch at around 1 pm)
5:00 pm-5:30 pm- commute home
5:30 pm-9:00 pm - spend time with family, chores, dinner, etc.
9:00 pm-10:00 pm- get ready for bed, try to sleep
Any precautionary measures I should take, such as only doing easy runs in the first 2-3 weeks? Also, how what should I do nutrition-wise? I used to count calories, but should I just focus on eating a lot? I don't plan on eating anything till lunch time, only coffee till then.
