Already mentioned this in the other GLIAC thread, but I’ve been told that Kapes will be returning to Ashland. I would think that he’d be in the mix.
Tech is always stronger than people expect. I have also heard about Kapes, but if those other rumors are true then I could see Ransom Allen as a true freshman or Zac Truman sneaking into the top 10 for Wayne State.

I definitely agree with the statement about Tech. Especially after seeing that they had a solid outdoor season. I would think they could compete with Saginaw, although every year I feel like Saginaw manages to pick up a few good freshmen or having guys coming off of redshirts that we’ve forgotten about. Wayne state has had a few solid guys in the past couple of years, but they’re a young team.
There’s also the Parkside guys that are getting back on the horse per say. Also Davenport usually has a runner up there as does Ashland and Purdue NW. top 10 guys? No. But certainly could see them in the top 20. In that same vein, Northwood had a couple of freshmen run fair 5ks on the track during indoor. May be in that second 10 as well.
GLIAC is looking stronger than ever. Could have three top-10 caliber teams in GV, SV, Tech. Good battle for runnerup spot for the women between Tech, Wayne, SV, maybe Ferris.
Side note, who is eligible (or not) in the region will have big affect on which teams go to Sacramento. Titus Winders? Enael Woldermichael??
No way are the Ferris girls in the running for runner up. They weren't even in the top 4 last year.
chance for the gliac to take all three auto bids out of the Midwest?!?!?!?

also not sure why previous post on this thread was removed GV must be salty they may not win the conference this year?
Strange that a post like that would be deleted...I think it implied that certain runners were ineligible? Maybe that's why.
Hard to see anyone dethroning the national champions from their GLIAC or regional wins. Also hard to see Tech beating SV, the Huskies have 2 studs but the Cards appear to be much deeper.
GVSU projected top-7

Klynstra 14:53 5K
Scheel 15:05 5K
Moore 49th Reg. / 15:30 5K
Watling 15:32 5K
GLIAC COULD sweep all 3 auto qualifying places, but Walsh and USI will have something to say about that.
I think it will be very close between these three teams but I wouldn’t leave Sayen out of the mix. He’s an absolute stud as a true freshman ran 1:51 in the 800 but also has the range to go 14:30 in a 5k. He’s also a great racer I wouldn’t look past him being in the top ten at conference.
Crazy thing is that it wouldn’t be too surprising to see Wayne or Northwood pull off a 3rd place finish, either. Wayne pulling in Ransom Allen will be a huge bonus for them, and Northwood has started to get some momentum going. Tech is the best answer for 3rd as of now, but Wayne or NU could be real contenders as the season progresses.
Wayne bringin in those GRCC transfers too, one was a community college All-American. He should have an impact right away.
Winders is 100% elgible
Might wanna rewrite GV minus Wolda
michael.
