A. No chance in hell he goes to Brooks. Runners take less money not to go to Seattle.
B. Tinman? I guess if Adidas pulled out the checkbook and Nike didn’t think he was much better than the rest of their current roster
C. NOP: Grant probably not good enough yet for that atmosphere. Can’t see him training with Kejelcha and Murphy.
D: Bowerman: good fit..more of a college atmosphere with lots of runners at his level
And what made your post right?
A) Brooks Beast has some pretty decent training partners for him, good environment. I think they will get a good class over the next few years. It's very low pressure for him, which may be something he needs.
B) Tinman - No
C) Not good enough yet? You have to start somewhere. He's at the level Jenkins was and I know Engels had connections, but he's still better than he was out of college. NOP is very individualized. You'd be surprised how much of the group does their training relatively alone, especially with odd coaching situations between Salazar and Julian. Fisher is already a great tactician, something NOP likes, Jenkins is a good fit for him.
D) Bowerman is so saturated now. Like I could see him going there, but he might just get lost in the group and get burnt out from their training approach.
I hope it's either Beast or NOP. Completely different groups, but both sufficient fits in my opinion.
How is the Brooks a good environment? The men have had one World Team Member outdoor in like 10 years? The Womens team folded. Mackey isn't even coaching his own wife. How can you tell me that is a good environment for him?
