Do any of you remember my show where I lugged a plastic garbage full of 60lbs of fat?

Anyways, wondering if Allie removed timing chip on her bib?
I looked up hundreds of bib numbers starting prior to 15035 and after 15035. that would be expected to show up in the results, and none were there. So, it looks like there was some kind of timing issue. Maybe a bad batch of bib chips?
Tons of official race photos of her, including crossing the line and holding a finisher's medal. Do the R n R races not show splits anywhere? Seems like it must have been a chip malfunction or something. A non-story keeping us engrossed for days.

Hundreds??! While I admire how thorough you are, I can't imagine why you'd spend time on that.
Possible chip problem for Big Allie. Yet still hasn’t posted on IG, whereas before if she bought a pair is socks she’d let the whole world know.

She did post on IG. It was on her story a couple of days ago. I can't believe how many of you have never seen a chip malfunction before.

Tennis pro Lindsay Davenport ignored advice to lose weight until she tried practicing while wearing extra pounds. Moving was harder with only a little extra weight and that convinced her to lose weight.
So Serena Williams should lose weight too?
Sorry for veering off topic, but i believe tennis players do compromise their performance somewhat, when they gain extra weight. I remember monica seles have fairly poor results after a weight gain.
As for serena, it is none of my business what she does, but i think there is no advantage to the extra pounds.
Side note, but since i am a child of the 80s, i just looked up how things turned out for William the Refrigerator Perry. While it is impossible to decipher what role his excess weight has played, the Washington Post reported a few years ago that he was needing full time care at age 53 (and yes, his weight ballooned after his carreer as an athlete).
That is an extreme example, but i would encourage anyone, even a professional athlete, to stay within ten pounds of their healthiest weight. Because its not going to get easier once you retire.
Getting stabbed and losing 2.5 years in her prime to all that went with that had a lot to do with that too...

I wanted to see if her not showing up in the results was just an anomaly and it wasn't.
Reading LRC or looking up results for bib number, not like either one is that productive.
Photos are up. Shows one after finish line with her medal.
Kind find photos of other runners whose bib numbers haven't shown up in the results. This is very odd. Its not an isolated incident with just Allie.

So she's not the only one missing from results? I find it odd they haven't fixed it yet...

Allie is the one that made weight an issue. No one commented on her weight until she made it an issue.
She must now accept comments on BOTH sides of the issue.
I think that Allie is a cute girl that carries about 5-10 lbs. more than most elite women distance runners. To me this makes her MORE attractive.
But because she was self conscious being different. SHE MADE IT AN ISSUE and she has thrived in a positive fashion from all of the attention.
Sorry but if you can’t accept the negatives stop accepting the positives.
SHE made it at issue? That's comical. So no one else was going to comment on her figure unless she made a statement about it first? Not a chance.
Also, you and multiple other posters have cited 5 pounds or 5-10 pounds heavier compared to the elites. No, try more like 15-20. I don't mean that as a knock, but it's rather impressive.
I TOTALLY agree with the poster above — people cannot and do not control how people see them and talk about them, especially when it comes to sports commentators and (potential or actual) sponsors deciding how the athlete does/doesn’t promote the message of their “brand”.
The narrative of female empowerment (?) was prob shaped more by sponsor Oiselle, than anybody.
Without a noticeably softer figure, we could easily be having the conversation, “allie who?” But she was noticeable, and the conversations about her (and occasionally even including her) began.
And yes, i think the higher figure is probably true, about where she likely stands relative to normal competition weight of other athletes of her same level of training/talent!

How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?

Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
