My son is 9 years old, and I play ping pong with him basically every day. I have let him win every time, but after his mother asked him if he was going to win today, he replied with "im going to beat his ass." I got on to him for his language; and proceeded to beat him. 21-0. Every time a point is scored, it is his task to announce the score. After I beat him, he dropped the paddle to the floor and went to his room to cry. I have not talked to him since; he did not want lunch, and just told us to go away. Should I feel guilty for this? What should I do?
No you shouldn't since he's weak and you're not.
When playing with stronger opponent, well it isn't much, but honestly, if you're facing someone that is much better than you, you don't have anything to lose, still they do! So go for it with everything you've got, that's my thinking at least. If he's not going to learn it, you should show him who's da boss around here.
But truthfully, it seems like you're just an awful troll-parent.
