depending on the length of your race, you are going to have 7 - 10 days of taper. since you started 2.5 weeks (17 days) out, minus the taper, leaves you 7 - 10 days of training before you start your taper. in that time you are going to do one, or possibly two sessions of the type your question considers. you have already admitted that there is only a very small difference between the two sessions, which you are going to get to do once, or maybe twice, at most. there is therefore exactly zero difference between the training adaptation possible from one session versus the other.
it doesn't matter which session you do, because it isn't going to make any difference at all to the outcome, because you left it too late to ask your question. and it doesn't matter how many times you re-word your question, or move the goal posts, you should have been asking such questions six months ago so that you had time to benefit from what you learned.
people who resort to name-calling very rarely have an actual point to make.
