last 200m in 29 sounds like he sandbagged the sh*t out of it, no?

Heard it was a 'tactical' race. Good for him.
Probably jogged first 3200 in 20 minutes then ran 5:58 for last 1800.
When I read the thread title, my brain automatically substituted 8k. I clicked on the thread thinking "yeah, that seems decent for a guy with massive talent who now just jogs and lifts for fitness."
I didnt realize I misread it until I watched the video.
It is kind of fascinating to see where a world class runner lands after doing weights and no running for quite a while. I'm guessing this was as easy effort for him, but I wonder what his time would be with a fairly legit effort. MUCH heavier and not much if any running.

He's the typical Let'srunner. Low 13's 5k, 59min half, & sub 2:05 'thon and now running 26min in the local turkey trot.
If I just hobbyjogged my annual Turkey Trot, I'd run a 25 high.
As it stands, I about kill myself to try and get under 20. And like Mr. Hall, I hardly ever run, and I lift, and I weigh more than I did when I ran much faster. Ryan Hall has the right idea.
He's back baby!!!

Same.
I wanted to believe in the comeback.

His HR was probably 125 until the last 200 m. Don't get it twisted, he'd still SMOKE 95% of these boards. Even with an additional 50 lbs. All that training didn't just disappear.
Note to runners who are seeking to get faster, Muscle Milk isn't the preferred beverage.
You can never run on "Pure Hate" is you participate in virtual races.
It's sad to see what a once fast man has turned himself into when faced with low T-levels.
Ryan, quit fooling yourself, just say hello to 100 mile weeks and embrace your former skinny self!!!

At least he is still running sub 9 minute pace so he is still a competitive runner.
He should just declare XY and try to get into the longer women's races.
He can keep his tackle.

Every man is biologically XY, so there's nothing to "declare." How ignorant are you?
When he said "professional pacemakers", did he mean he was running with older professionals who had pacemakers?
He's looking super old, man.
A mere technicality.
Without his drugs for his lo t, he is actually quite a feminine.
He can't use a booster, so he might be able to go back au naturale and enter the races Caster enters.
Just get off his meds and run alternate lady's events.
It would be more interesting than watching Caster vs the others

What is hall's weight these days compared to elite running days? Man...he looks big, muscular & strong. ?

Me too.
But obviously he was goofing around. I gotta figure even with minimal running he'd be sub 17 at worst.
