Filip will not run tomorrow due to unknown reasons
Jakob confirmed that he starts.
Filip got sick. They will have two rabbits in the 10,000m, one for 27:00 and one for 27:30 if I remember it correctly. Will be there
Michael Norman will win the 400 but wait until later in the season for Cedenio to push him close to the WR.
If nbc gold don't show the 10k then use vpn (sweden ip) and watch svt 1 (svtplay.se) or find some svt 1 stream live stream.
Can't access it right now but last night 4 names were italicized, so supposedly pacers for the 10k which would make sense if they offer two different paces.
5k women is supposed to go out at 14:30 pace. I hope there are enough runners going at a somewhat slower pace that young German Alina Reh can go sub 15 for the first time in her first DL race. She ran 15:12 solo two weeks ago, so 15:00 should be in reach in a faster race.
Also hoping the B pack goes strong in the women's 5000m. A bunch of those east Africans are gonna be off like a gun and the rest of the some just got to make sure they stay honest and work together to make sure they don't drop to just another 15:10. Honestly several women who should be looking for sub 15 or better but won't be able to match 14:30
Melissa Courtney - sub 8 multiple times indoors and strong mile last week. Should be able to bring down that 15:04.
Gabriela DeBues-Stafford - 14:57 indoor in January so will be crossing her toes to try beat the Canadian record of 14:53.
Eilish McColgan - gone sub 14:50 But doubt she can keep up to 14:30 pace. Hopefully she gives a good middle target for some of these women to follow.
As mentioned, Elina Reh wants to break 15. Don't know how her training has gone but if this pack works together maybe with a couple of East Africans not on their A game and they could get some good results for themselves. Honestly two rabbits, one for 14:30 And one for 14:50 Would have been nice for this race.
Reh was faster than I had expected indoors, lowering her 3000m PB from 8:53 (of 2017) to 8:39 (and this in the very unevenly run Euros final where she ran the second half as fast as her actual 1500m PB, she is a slowish 10k-Marathon-person). Of course she has to be at her best in Doha but she needs that 10k qualifier before that which means that she has to be in good shape already. She ran 32:09 in a windy 10k road race in march, opened a few weeks ago with an 8:48 in a mixed race and then 15:12 basically alone. She is very good at solo running but nevertheless should profit somewhat from not running all alone (and not have to pass lots of lapped runners as in Karlsruhe two weeks ago).
I think Courtney, Reh, Stafford should all be able to go around 15:00 or somewhat below. (McColgan is hard to predict, she seems so often plagued by all kinds of stuff, e.g. fairly weak last indoors season but strong last summer with silver in the Euros.)
i am looking forward to the 10000 even though not a DL event. Yimer is one of the top class road runners with seconds in halfs in Valencia and Bahrain. He isn't yet 23yo and loves the track, he was a fast fifth at the last w.champs. Rhonex Kiproto is even younger and could do anything. Further down the field, maybe outside the top six here, Paul Chelimo and Wanders chase massive PB's to get a 27.40 Qualifier. Both are capable of it, getting dragged along over the 25 laps.
I wonder if Thompson in the women's 200 is over the dodgy hammy of last year and can match strides with last season's second and third best at this sprint distance?
The weather is bad in Stockholm ,Sweden . Only +11 C and humidity increases .Far from best weather ......
How are conditions for the sprints? Would like to see if Norman can dip under 44

Too cold for sprinting fast in + 11 C = 51.8 F .
Anybody know if this will be airing in Toronto?
