Please let me share what illicit drugs are:
Illicit drugs are substances that either stimulate (such as cocaine or amphetamines) or inhibit (such as heroin or sedative-hypnotics) the central nervous system or cause hallucinogenic effects (such as marijuana or LSD) to the effect that their use has been prohibited globally.
Yes, and we should keep it that way!!!
In America, both cocaine and amphetamine are schedule II controlled substances (i.e. not illicit). You mentioned heroin (which is illicit), but grouped it with sedative-hypnotics (which are mostly not-illicit, some aren’t even controlled substances).
So I am confused by your post. Most of the the drugs you said are illicit are in fact, licit. So now I don’t know what an illicit drug is. Can you please clarify for those of us without your incredible insight into these legal, moral, and ethical issues? Thanks in advance.
