Not much results from Oregon. Are they underperforming?

They all graduated/quit/transferred somewhere else.
Oregon must be running low on winstrol.
Looks like distance has imploded under new coach from USF . Looks like 2 who transferred from USF in the 10k and hopefully Hull in 1500. Abandon ship ?!!!!
It’s not time to panic yet. Concern is warranted however for the mid distance and up. They’ll get Hull and 1-2 men through in the 1500, but that’s about it. We haven’t reverted back to the pre Lananna era, but it’s just not looking good thus far and the recruiting class is not what it has been. The talent on the roster though is solid. They should have been better this year. XC should have been a win for the women, but that didn’t materialize. The men seem happy with top six, but that shouldn’t be the standard. We could be looking at a Martin Smith coaching situation (just the wrong fit). Hopefully things turn for the better soon, but this shouldn’t have been a team in transition.
Hard to watch BYU doing what the Ducks should be doing.
Ducks out the back door. Justvacour everything under the sun is cyclical.
They tore down Historic Hayward Field. It's all over.
They need to adjust those dosages. Nike doctors are slacking.
if people had stayed/come the men would additionally have:
Drew Hunter
Mick Stanovsek
Brodey Hasty
Josh Hoey
Cooper Teare and Reed Brown are in NCAAs so their best shots at placing high are in it.
Hull is looking good.
You have to give a new coach more than one season to rebuild a program.

That’s not necessarily true, if you have regional level kids that have Been there before or even have made it to the national meet! Don’t let these hyped up coaches off the hook that easily.
Another example: UNC.. hyped up coach and someone please tell me how many athletes from UNC are going to Austin...
Hmm... not so sure wrote:

Grove from UNC didn’t even have a Regional qualifier!

They're taking 30 people on the team to Austin, 1 in the 800, 2 in the 1500, 1 in the 5k, 2 in the 10k. I know they've been stacked in the past but that feels pretty good when you need to get through regionals & into the smaller NCAA fields. They'll be fine.

Yep. Oregon will never recover. Cursed.
Because distance doesn't win outdoor championships. Even with Rupp and Centro they needed the sprints and field events to score all the points.
Its called track and field for a reason... need some big boys eating chunky soup and throwing heavy stuff to win.
Helen is a terrible coach, not much surprise the program is trending downward. She bought talent from overseas at USF using the city of SF as a successful recruiting tool. Not very many athletes actually developed under her guidance.
