What's to stop people from loading up on various drugs to kill their pain.

It's not just opioids, it's meth, and lots of other drugs. Anything you can sniff, drink,

or apply could be a painkiller, and they become stronger if they are combined with

other drugs.

I saw a big delivery truck that had the back painted with "I Love Tequila."

It struck me that this is a main argument for not legalizing marijuana. People

do that now. They combine cigarettes with marijuana and the drink of their choice.

It might be scotch or some other common bartender's drink.

Legalizing marijuana is bad move for America and the world.

Does anyone else have a unique reason for being against this evil plan to legalize

Marijuana?

Alcohol has way stronger negative effects than marijuana. I've only smoked it once and had edibles a couple times, so I'm by no means addicted to it... Probably because there's nothing to be addicted to beyond enjoyment of using it, just like someone may be 'addicted' to eating candy or other things with a lot of sugar.

What's so evil about marijuana? Have you even used marijuana? If it's illegal I tend to not be around it too much, just because I don't want it to negatively effect my life and make me have to pay some fine or any legal consequences. But if it were legal in my state I'd consider having edibles on special occasions, just like I do with delicious craft beer.

Please tell me how it's evil, I'm ready for a good laugh.

Most people I know who use cannabis at my age (55) do not use nicotine, alcohol or take prescription meds. I'm not saying that cannabis cannot be abused, it can just like sugar, processed foods, nicotine, drugs (prescription too) and alcohol.

Your reasons for being against cannabis appear to be based on ignorance and prejudice rather than valid experience.

Cannabis is a gateway alright... to an evening snack and a good nights sleep.

My kids asked me to try it on vacation in Mexico partly because of its abundance.

Well they got a good laugh -Instant heartburn for me .

Straight up shot for me - I guess I did not master the lemon , salt tradition.

And Icould pound beer and wine when I used to drink .

To drink that on a hot day , no thanks.

Tequilas a shot you do with girls at the bar. Its terrible outside of that.

OPs perception of weed is just plain wrong. Plenty of arguments against it but the "gateway drug" mindset is something you only here from people who really don't know what they are talking about. Also, people who smoke it tend to drink less, not more.
