Somebody tell him he's better at track
Somebody tell him he's better at track
Maybe he should do both?
Calvin Davis, who held the record, played football at Iowa and couldn’t shake the injury bug while there. Let’s hope Porter has more luck.

Football will destroy his body and brain.
RG3 made a mistake. He's washed up and should have gone pro in track.
Money isn't everything and some of you will understand that when you're 50-60 and healthier than your close to death non-running friends. Add in the brain issues with football and they really regret it.
Most retired football players wouldn’t change a thing if they could do it all again.

RgIII made 30 million in a pretty short career. How many track athletes have made that much?
RGIII is still in the NFL and making more money in a single year than a track athlete does in a long, successful career.
Hopefully this high schooler does both track and football in college.
Some athletes love football more than running. If track athletes made more money, borderline football players would make a career shift.
Last years' 13.85 110m high hurdler from Iowa also decided football was his best path.
You guys don’t understand the culture around most of these guys. They have had “guys” guiding their “careers” since pop-warner leagues. These guys get kick back from agents to get them to sign and then get to stay on payroll for the athlete because they are a “trusted family friend”.
You get one guy NFL money and people will flock to you. So everyone in this kids ears are saying go football .
The AD at Iowa State is a former national champ in track. If there was ever a school that would support dual sports, it is Iowa State. Betting he does both.
dime a dozen.
Better playing football

Pretty short career? It's still going. He was a Ravens backup here in Baltimore last year and just signed a new two year deal for 4 million.
I hope he gets to start this year for the Ravens. I think he's still pretty good. He was fantastic in the pre-season last year and played well in the limited times he came in last year.
Full scholarship for football vs. partial for track. Potential for $millions in football after college vs. $thousands working at the local Y. Easy decision.
