I'm gonna give something that's rare on this site: a compliment. This is very well done. Good to see a writer do a piece on DIII and actually know what they're talking about.
Well, almost good. They left out Pomona....the favorite to win it all this fall. Nobody is more hot right now.

New England in 2017 when Amherst finished 4th which last time I checked, was a podium finish. Also the last 3 years is an arbitrary time frame that I guarantee you're using just to exclude William's runner up finish 4 years ago.
Hmmm. Wasn't that the infamous Amherst team that was disbanded for disciplinary reasons?
no, these were the guys who used their used the mystical teachings of a magician known only as "AG" to create a voodoo doll of Griffin Collaizi and render him useless for the entire season. I also heard they ran faster because of dangerous dogs in the area:

True, SoCal is very warm this time of year.

I'm going to keep this short and simple, but Otterbein top 3.
with a strong senior class and a lot of support from the underclassmen, I can see otterbein rising on the polls already.
hampton, hoffman, ehret, thompson, and clevinger can all go way under sub 25:05 this year. That's not counting the other studs they have that are ready to roll this season.
Watch out, they comin
Watch out for RPI this fall. They had a bunch of guys go under 15 in the 5k during indoors and outdoors. If they can stay on their feet at nationals, they certainly have the potential to contend for a national championship.

Ya know what, hold on to that hope. Makes for a fun year.
Ladies and Gents, we are all wondering the same thing. Will Dylan Gearinger continue his yearly tradition of falling apart at the end of the year even as his postcollegiate #grind continues? We got to see it last year in each and every season, a real treat. Looking forward to his inevitable DNF at Club Cross Nats

$50 says this is the same guy that posted that Gearinger would DNS the 2018 3k.

This is all a very intricate love story and I'm really here for it.

I think Johns Hopkins comes back for another national title but am curious to see more detailed analysis.

It's going to be a two-horse race.
There's your detailed analysis.
any hot pre-season meets this weekend?
Interesting starts this weekend and hard to gage with many running under distance. North central dominated Elmhurst once again, but that's not exactly news, and neither is the fact that Osmulski is in good shape. It will just be interesting to see how their apparent top crew will fair against bigger competition at 8k.
Otterbein out of the GL ran a solid pack race as well. Their name has been on here a bit, but I'd remember it come championship season.
Any other noticable results?...
Teams?
Individuals?
