That weighting over-emphasizes the 400, massively.
You would seriously put WVN over the GOAT at 100-400?

Even just normalizing to 100m distance:
WVN: 9.94 + 9.92 + 10.76 = 30.62
Dolt: 9.58 + 9.60 + 11.32 = 30.50
But really, 2 untouchable WR’s to 1 touchable WR is all one needs to know—and that WVN ran all those distances when he was in his best shape, whereas Dolt’s best 400 was clearly before his eruption.
And this from someone who can’t stand Dolt.

Just an innocent question here. Do you think WVNs WR 400m was clean?
He's run 9.98, wind assisted. Mechanics or not, he's not getting that much faster anyway. AAMOF I bet he never runs even one second faster.

So you’re going out on a limb and saying that MB won’t run 8.98?
I guess my question to the OP is how should he be rated in relation to his peers? I always found our sport a little easier in rating stars compared to football or certainly baseball players.

Your nervous system does not reach maturity until around 25. This is a very important note for sprinters.
That being said there are a whole host of things that can happen to be in his favor or not so you just don’t know. But, saying his body has completely matured is wrong.
So you are stating it is natural to gain sprinting speed up to age twenty-five without even trying. Show evidence please. There's a reason why military draft age is 18. If a nation's military can get away with it, all militaries prefer front line troops far younger than 18. Infant ry. The natural state is for an individual to be in awful shape by age twenty-five. I naturally improved sprinting speed without trying to age 15. How about you?
Evidence? Your myelin sheath is not developed until AT LEAST age 25. Look it up. Read a little. There is a lot more to this than how tall you are!

Typing in a condescending manner is not evidence. Myelin sheath, blah, blah , blah. Unless humans exercise vigorously, humans are decaying by age 21. Pre-Viet Nam Conflict, age of majority in U.S. was 21. Before Viet Nam Conflict U.S. voting age was 21 but this nation has always relied on teenagers in military. Humans are not naturally getting faster up to age 25. Workout extremely hard from age 12 to age 27, one can get faster, 100m and longer. It has more to do with technique and fitness (sprints past 60m rely on fitness due to managing deacceleration).
myelin sheath is an excellent prophylactic
nothing out of s. africa is clean.
nor anyone on the sub 44 400m list,
doped to the gills. and beyond
Dude set 2 national records in only FOUR freaking races he has ever run at that distance, and you think that is overrated!!
I can venture to say noone else ever has done that feat. EVER!
This is some poc caca!!

I ran track at 15, and my fastest 400m was finishing a workout in 73 - I was actually pretty proud of that. By early 20s, I was running under that pace for 5k and splitting 55-56 in relays. In graduate school, I had stopped any sort of serious running training, entered an open 400m for the heck of it and ran 53.6 FAT. I could also barely touch the backboard at 15 and can still dunk in my mid-30s, people are not most explosive at 15-18, that's ridiculous.

Uh, yes they are. They’re not proof, but they are very much evidence. Where did you get your law degree?
Anecdotes are testimony, which may or may not constitute evidence.
Where did you get your liberal arts degree?

I’m curious—where are you guys getting this detailed knowledge of his first 20m, or his start?
And speaking of details, how about giving some? Precisely what is it about his start or first 20 that is deficient?
Honest questions. I haven’t seen any very informative video.
They're just being jerks.

Why is Matt going to UGA? Hopefully because Coach Kyprianou is probably the best coach in the country for training multis. And I for one am salivating over the possibility of Boling becoming a decathlete.
Turning a guy with Boling's talent into a lumbering decathlete would be a terrible travesty.
Leave him alone, and let him keep doing exactly what he's doing now.

Because 18 year olds are so dumb and inexperienced that they are more easily swayed into making a very stupid mistake.

Bolt is much taller. When he popped on the scene he had no mechanics and was a gangly teen with scoliosis who had a lot to gain from form correction and formal training.
Bolt is 6'5", Boling is 6'2". Is being 3 inches taller now much taller? What would 6 inches taller be? 9 inches? 12?
3 inches is a lot in height. Just compare someone who is 5’9 and someone who is 6 foot.
I can't believe your post. It's mind numbingly embarrassing. If I had to guess, your basis is because he's WHITE. Let's call this what it is. If he were an ethnic minority or American Black you'd never make the ridiculous statement you made. The kid isn't even 19. He's far from maturity. Let's see where time and training take him. He just won the 100m at the PanAmerican games run 10.1. I guess that was a fluke as well? Or was he on performance enhancing drugs? The recent stupidity I've been reading on this amazing athlete is racist and hurtful. Yes, if you didn't already know, Whites can be fast sprinters as well. Next time just come out and say the real reason you don't like this kid, it's a lot easier.
