Topanga State Park, Malibu Creek State park cheeseboro Canyon. Pt Mugu sycamore canyon and pierce jc for short runs are all good options. She will just have to get out early before it gets too hot.
And she can run on pch past Zuma or at Zuma on hot days in the valley. Heck I forgot about Zuma and Trancas Canyon. That is another option for tougher runs or short runs with cool ocean breezes.
All are better than balboa park where many Val’s run.

What's not to like? She is an actor, writer, cinematographer, poet, professional athlete, supermodel, professor, physician, singer, formula one driver, political operative, engineer, surfer, explorer, Indian chief. And that is just in her spare time.
In 2016 the Olympic Standard was 32:15. Alexi came in WITH the Olympic standard at 32:02, then ran 31:36 at the games, WELL south of the standard. After injury, she just set a 9 min. PR in the marathon, in a conservative 2:34. Not Olympian good? I think you should make a fact based arguement. Also, maybe name who DIDN'T lapped in the W10000 in RIO, the fastest race ever by far. Also, good luck with finding a country to let you represent them after you run your 27:28. All the best.
