Wtf? This kid is unbelievable..
Here it is:

The guy he's running down is splitting 47.xx
What is even more incredible is that he runs 10.1x off of 400 training. Just an outright beastly talent. Could well go both sub-10 legal and sub 45 this year.
The fact that he has the mental fortitude to put it all on the line like that. This kid is not a pu$$y
here's the split link
and jeremy wariner's take... could get bumped down another rung soon by kerley and maybe boling in a few years who knows, his season reminds me of michael norman's senior year right now

How soon will he break 1:40?
The announcer saying “can her get him” for a whole lap is messed up and has no place at a state meet.
Nothing wrong with that. It's what every single person watching was saying or thinking...including the guy he ran down.
He's destined to go sub 43 by the time he's 25.

Sorry, that's Max Burgin's right.
Matthew takes the 100,200, and 400m WRs, Max will take the 800m and 1000m, Jakob the 1500, Mile, 5000m, and the 14 year old Danish kid takes the 10000m, 1/2 marathon, and first legal sub 2 hour marathon.
I see 2:25.7 on the clock as he crosses finish line with one lap to go and then 3:10.6 at the finish so I get 44.9 but either way it is pretty impressive.
Flotrack put their coverage on youtube.
Right at the very end, one of the FT guys says he got Boling in 44.73, almost identical to the "official" split.
With his 10.13, the guy is on fire at the moment.
I hope it lasts and doesn’t go to his head. He seems to be getting lots of attention.

Stop trying to suck the fun out of track.
Are you a librarian or something?

he took the baton early. Should clock from line to line, but he ran about 403. That's likely how you saw it

Nope. Just a coach. Everyone was thinking it. But the PA announcer? At a HS State Meet? Come on...
What i am saying is that at 2:42 on this video he has the baton and is crossing the finish line and the clock says 2:25.7 and then when he finishes at the same line the same clock is at 3:10.62. I don't see how you get 44.74 from that even if the observed 2:25.7 is actually 2:25.74. Unless that clock is off by 0.2 seconds inside 1 minute.
Kid from California broke 44 on a relay leg once - never heard from him after HS.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
