Best finish ever. The GOAT.
This guy did practically the same thing to win the NY championship indoor 55H. Glad to see he's refined the technique

Definitely, and the jump was perfectly timed!
he should've run thru the line. would have liked to have seen him belly flop short of the finish.
When are sprinters going to adopt plastic "0.4%" skid plates to protect their torso and allow crazy dives like this on the regular? Imagine an entire field going airborne in a final!
bro, he's on your team, you don't have to dive
Why would you do this to your teammates again?
I have long pushed for a rule change that states if your foot isn’t the first thing to touch down on the other side of the finish line your finish time should be based on when the hips cross or something along those lines
Looked like he was ahead anyway to me.

self-critically, i have to realize that i would never do that and so i am rightfully mediocre. hats off.
outstanding twitter post linked above: "his options were fading. he did what had to be done."

No not GOAT because it wasn’t even close
That is an awesome finish, Uebermensch style, and against his own teammate too!

This^, totally unnecessary.
You want the real finish of the year so far? Find the London Marathon male wheelchair finish.
Romanchuk and Hug battling around the final turn, with Suzuki sucking Romanchuk's wheel. Romanchuk rope-a-dopes a bit to get Suzuki to go to Hug's wheel just as they are approaching some dividing partitions. Hug and Suzuki go right and Romanchuk bolts to the left and just pours it on. You can truly see the increase in arm turn-over from Romanchuk. By the time everyone is past the barriers Romanchuk is clear and Hug can't get on his wheel and Romanchuk takes it in for the win. That was some awesome thinking on the fly.
Looks to me like he may have started overstriding a bit right at the end—if so, this was a smart move. Have seen races lost in the last 2 strides due to overstriding
He would have won by more if he would have run through. Great way to end your season.
Fabulous finish~
Kawhi's finish was more impressive.

This. Not sure what people are looking at if they think he won because he dove.
Sort of the equivalent of a football player diving into the end zone for fun when there is no defender within 5 yards. Good for show, but irrelevant in terms of actual outcome.
