I know Colby (not well, but I've met him a few times).

Ran super high mileage to crack 30 for 10km in college (I did too so I can relate).
We aren't the most talented types of guys ...so an OTQ can be hard and it requires a lot of 120 mile + weeks... (BTW I was working 30 hours a week in the shoe store at Hansons when I got an OTQ in 2011).
He also works at a shoe store in Boulder....probably lives in a van because rent is pretty freaking expensive here in Boulder.
I respect that more than the "trust fund athletes" that come to Boulder (there are lots) and have it easy with fancy apartments and a lot of free time on their hands to hire professional videographers etc...
The guy is a super hardworker and seems very well grounded and is humble. I hope he gets his OTQ!
