Background: I consider myself a competitive mountain-ultra-trail runner. I run ~90-120 mpw mostly on trails, 99% of the time solo.
So me and this girl went on a hike in some pretty remote trails where I love to train. When I told her that I run in those kind of trails pretty much every day, she looked at me like I was some kind of freak/weirdo and told me she wasn't sure how that made her feel?
To be fair, I can understand her reaction but I was wondering if any of you have experienced any similar situations?
I was dating this girl for a while, generally pretty nice, but could be somewhat of a whiner at times.
One evening we went out to dinner, then I took her to the remote forest preserve where I frequently run the trails. As dusk approached, she whined, "It's getting dark, I'm scared." My reply, "You're scared! What about me? I have to walk back alone."
