Full ride? World class/D1 type of marks because no one has that kind of money to give out w/ out any other aid..... If you're not qualifying for the Olympics I can't see any D2 school spending a full scholarship on one person. It isn't football or basketball.
You are correct. 3:55 mile in high school or 8:30 3200. The question wil never be answered because there really is no runner who doesn’t earn a few bucks for athletics or need. Even without that, no runner in D1 or D2 gets a full ride in the NCAA’s eyes because it allows for money for transportation and incidental expenses. No coach is dumb enough to go to that extreme. All of that automatically comes with a D1 football or basketball scholarship because there is no splitting.
