Is the watch compatible with Apple Music? It says you can also transfer songs from your computer which I have all my Apple Music songs downloaded on. Would I be able to put them on the watch?

Pretty impatient uh?
Music from my itunes works flawless with my Fenix 5 Plus which I would assume uses the same OS for the music.
You will absolutely drain your battery if you use the music while running however.
I get about 7 days battery life on the fenix 5 plus with alerts, HR, steps and running 5-7 hours a week.
If I use music during the same running, I get about 3, maybe 4 days.
Also make sure you are turning off the bluetooth for your headphones when not using as that really drains it as well.
Adding my question here (can't find an answer anywhere - not even on DCRainmaker):
Does the 245 work with Airpods?
Every other Garmin model so far has failed miserably in pairing, and sustaining a reliable connection, with Airpods.
It will not work with files that have DRM. So music you purchased on iTunes works fine. Music downloaded through Apple Music that you can only listen to with a subscription will not transfer.
Apple could develop a Connect IQ app, like Spotify did, at any point but it seems unlikely.

I've been using my AirPods with my 245 Music pretty seamlessly. I bought on day 1 and then I had some issues with connection where they would quickly get a bit muffly and then come back. Also one would disconnect then quickly reconnect. Didn't have to touch my watch though to get the music back which was nice.
There was an update (2.6) that has fixed most of these issues for me. I ran in mine about an hour ago and only had one extremely minor disconnect, otherwise it was solid.
Pairing was pretty easy. My airpods are weird around all devices besides my iPhone so I had to disconnect them from there and then connect to my watch but it once disconnected they do fine.
I can't answer questions on Apple Music since I use Spotify but any other questions I'm glad to answer.

Thanks for the report! Just bought one.
Can you upload Strava segments and running routes to the 245 like you can to the 935?
No...Spotify or offline. AirPods suck for running, your bound to lose one. Get some proper over the ear headphones.
I use Jabra Elites and they work really well for running and typically review better than Airpods.
It seems that you can't sync Apple Music on your watch directly, because Apple Music is DRM protected. So you need to remove DRM first. Here you could use DRmare Apple Music Converter to convert them. And then you can stream the music from your computer to your watch. Hope this tip will help you.
I feel like this is entirely misguided.
Apple music is DRM protected, so I am afraid you can't play Apple Music on MP3 players such as forerunner 245. you can check this tips on how to move apple music to forerunner 245 mp3 players:
https://www.drmare.com/apple-music/convert-apple-music-m4p-to-mp3.html
I 'm afraid not. Apple Music is encoded by DRM to prevent listeners to transfer it to other unauthorized devices.
It seems that Apple Music doesn't integrate with forerunner 245, but you can use AudFree Apple Music Converter to convert Apple Music to MP3, M4A, FLAC, etc. to import to forerunner 245. This tool also supports to move audiobooks from iTunes and Audible to Garmin devices.
Purchased songs in iTunes can be transferred to the watch using Garmin Express.
There doesn't seem to be a way to sync songs from Apple Music though.
Hi,
I don't think so. The Forerunner cannot play music with DRM such as Apple Music. One simple way is to remove the DRM with TunesKit Apple Music Converter and you can then easily stream DRM-free Apple Music files to Forerunner. It's easy to operate with 3 steps only. Just have a try.
There is this tool (musconv) i use which helps to transfer playlists or songs from one streaming site to another i recently migrated from apple music to amazon music and this is what i used i think you guys should try it out.
I'm not sure if Apple Music is compatible with your watch, but you can download AM songs with Tunelf Audio Converter. The DRM will be removed and then you can import them to anywhere you want.
So disappointedly, Apple Music is not available on Garmin Watches as many of their audio files are protected contents due to DRM tems so as to protect the copyrights. Thus, you cannnot upload or sync Apple songs to the smartwatch directly. You may try tools like Tunelf Apple Music Converter to download the songs offline and then transfer them to smartwatches for streaming.
