"Der Kenianer will am 29. September zum vierten Mal in Berlin gewinnen" . I'm not a very good german speaker but doesn't this mean "The kenyan wants to win for the 4th time in Berlin am 29 Sept" ? Doesn't say he is undecided.

lol fake news by the most lame fanboy on this site. Please paste this article in your google translate (or ask the user "Germandistancerunner", who has horrible english capabilities btw and is equally lame, for a translation), it literally says he hasn't decided yet:

Kipchoge just visited Berlin to eat some Curry Wurst?
Probably not.
Berlin is the fastest Marathon course out there and he has to go for it now since he is also not getting younger.
Also I'm sure Eliud is smart enough to know he can't break 2 hours in berlin. The quote you misinterpreted is just generally about the possibility of breaking 2 hours (you may also call it marketing speech because this is the only reason he visited berlin), please use your brain before you post such bullshit next time.

This is great and makes sense. The thing is he’s only gonna have pacers through what 10 miles in a sub 2 attempt. Also he could really blow up and leave himself vulnerable to a loss. Maybe Nike has said no to a Sub 2 2.0 so he believes this is his only chance to go after it.
Why would he go for a Nike Monza sub2, when he already ran 2:01:39 in Berlin???
Even 2:00:59 in Berlin would be far more impressive than a sub2 laboratory all paced Monza. I can’t believe people are still talking about a sub2 laboratory when he can reach or get very close to a sub2 Berlin.

And there are endless pacers who can make it to 21k in 60 flat

Well, the talk he had and which is quoted in every article actually was a marketing event for Vaporfly Next-% shoe (you might find more about it on instagram pages of some "young and urban" running groups, which unfortunately do exist here in berlin) and was not associated with berlin marathon organisers in any way. Also I'm trusting a source which actually gives some context (says he hasn't decided yet/at least doesn't want to tell before next week) more than the last sentence of a standard dpa text (German news agency).

Spot on! He ran 2:01:39 on a warm day 16C, alone from 24k. Giving ideal weather and a slightly better shape, it's not unfathomable to have a go at the 2-hour barrier. He propably won't succeed but it's worth a shot.
I saw the official press conference. It's true he didn't t say he will run Berlin. But for sure he isn't there for sightseeing and not only for sponsors. He gave Jan Fitschen former European Champ over 10000 an interview which isn't at the moment puplized. Maybe there he told more about his plans. But I would say we have 90% that Eliud Kipchoge will run Berlin. And for sure as fast as he could...

Rupp needs to enter this and pop a 2:02. Just draft off Kopchoge until 35k then hold on
All Michael Norman needs to do to break the 800m WR is go out in a chill 46 and close in 53. He can definitely hang on for a pedestrian 53.
Haven't this Mzungu guy been outed as a non-credible source?
I don't know, but it seems true. Today in Nairobi it was announced Kipchoge declined his spot at the worlds in Doha opting to defend his Berlin title, saying " Berlin forever. I shall go back there to defend my title"
You mean the same Mzunga that magically knew all of Kipchoge's workouts and information that he was in better shape that 2018 Berlin for running London? Then Kipchoge did just that despite running like 204 at London previously. Yeah he clearly has been outed.
What’s up with all these Kipchoge thread? Can we get a Wilson Kipsang thread? Or how about Geremew thread?
Sorry but there seems to be some misunderstandings: Kipchoge was in Berlin presented by Nike, NOT by SCC (race organizer BerlinMarathon), and he is NOT planning to run the marathon here in September this year. Some news agency seems to have gotten it wrong. I was at the spot and he didn‘t say anything which could relate to confirm those news.
Yawn. Run a real race like New York, not a glorified time trial.
I guess it wasn't on after all.
Isn’t Kipchoge trying to break2 again this in the fall?

You Americans are something else.
It's OFF! Eliud Kipchoge will NOT run the 2019 Berlin Marathon!
Said he wants to run the fastest time possible!, BUT NOT IN THE 2019 BERLIN MARATHON!
Sorry.
It’s defo off. Sub2 attempt set up in London in October. Ineos funded.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
