Does anyone know who the tall pacer that's in front of Andrews is? He looks remarkably comfortable and I'd be interested in learning more about him.

Carrie just now noticing Sabrina Little's uneven gait like it's a sign of trouble, but she's run this way from the start.
Are pacers allowed mulling? I think Sabrina's pacer handed her a handheld bottle.

They've mentioned his name once or twice but I didn't recognize it. Obviously a Hola guy. With Rosario in Az.? Not a Gags NY/NJ runner.
Werdian(?)'s pacer did the same.
He's from Hoka Aggies
The pacer in the front (tall, brown dude) is:
SWARNJIT BOYAL
14:01 5km guy with a massive endurance potential by the looks of it.

We refer to them as ‘cheaters shoes affectionately ‘ . I don’t know about Emma bates shoes. I have more problem with an athlete racing in a non commercially available shoe than a shoe like the vaporfly.
But that brings up a point. This carbon x is not commercially available yet and neither was the shoe kipchoge wore in London. The iaaf needs to enforce rule and make it so an athlete is not winning because they are running in a shoe no one else could have.
So you’re saying professionals shouldn’t have equipment made for them?
There is nothing stopping the other shoe companies from making similar shoes provided it doesnt infringe patent.
You don’t think professionals in other sports use non-commercially available equipment?

Boyal gone, Andrews looks good but its early. 35:11 last 10K. Walmsley 35 flat last 10K, making up ground. Jim is about 1:40 back.
Whoa! Jim passing Andrews already. Andrews must be rigging badly.
is Walmsley flying or is Andrews flagging?
Walmsley is flying to me...35 minute 10K 30-40. 40-50 will be interesting, but I think it’s going to be quick.

Looks like Jim has decided to go !!
34:40 roughly for Walmsleys 10K there : 2:57:40 halfway. He is rolling
50 in 2:57:28
That was the easy part.
Now it gets interesting .
I started watching around 2:30 and they said Tyler Andrews had been going 5:40 pace. Is that right? That's crazy considering he's never run beyond 50k and doesn't even think of himself as an ultra runner. Why not just stick with Walmsley from the start? He's toast now.
He did a 50k+ training run at a faster pace...he’s going more for 80K than 100k. That being said Walmsley seems to have played it perfectly but Andrews could still do fine, Walmsley is just the more prolific runner
To echo this Andrew was 21 seconds back at 50K at a hot pace. Hopefully he’s not rigging and it’s just Walmsley running sub 35 10Ks

Walmsley looks like he's working a bit too hard this early.
