We got in the shoes already and have a review at Runner's World. The shoe feels far more stable—especially taking hard turns—than the OG and Flyknit models. The heel drop change is noticeable when standing/jogging, but disappears when you push the pace. More here: https://www.runnersworld.com/gear/a27243092/nike-zoomx-vaporfly-next-percent/

Ignore that image. Not sure where that came from, but the review above is definitely about the green Next% shoe.

Nike Shill Central..... i see....

2 questions:
#1- Is there a difference between this & what actual elites wear? I like the normal 4%'s already. Didn't feel the need to try the Flyknit 4%'s. Running is one of the few sports where you can't wear the same stuff as the pros, then Nike is able to slap a $275 price tag to a shoe slightly different from what the truly best wear. I'm just saying why not release the same shoe?
#2- Did the elites where these at Boston? -
Let's all buy cheaterfly shoes and pretend we are that fast.
From the company sponsoring all the dopers... unrelated, of course

How many miles will they last? The price is steep, but if I only use them in races and they last 5 years it won't be too bad.
Also, is the forefoot wider? The OG was so narrow and tight on my foot that I couldn't wear them -
You're gonna be out of luck, Greg. Really snug fit in the forefoot.
-
At least now there will be some variety at the starting line, I swear 70% of the runners I saw at Boston were wearing the pink 4%.
-
Looks like they added 15% more zoomx material in the pointed raised midsole heel above where it is necessary. Maybe we should get a knife and cut off that useless material to save some more weight.

Elite version of the next% will be worn by Nike athletes at London mara
What's different about the elite version and that released to the public?
There is no difference. The Vaporfly next% is what the guys will be wearing. The shoe is exactly the same as the Vaporfly elite it's just a new upper. Same midsole Eliud won Berlin in -

I don't believe so. With the rules about shoes being commercially available, I think the release date has to be BEFORE athletes begin racing in them. None were wearing them at Bsoton, but we well see them used at London now that they have been released. -

Most of the elites had the 4% except for Jordan Hasay. Her shoes had a red upper similar to what all the other Nike pro's were wearing (although I can't tell the material from the photos I've seen) but the midsole and tread seem to be the same as those on the new model. -

Why don’t they offer them in wider options? I have a narrow heal but wide forefoot. Please someone pass this on to Nike. More options for wide feet please.
-
A lot of the changes with the Next% seems promising. I like the lower drop and the more secure upper. maybe it's just me, but the FK version is loose around the ankle.
Hopefully it's wider because my flat arches are terrible with the 4%s. I tried running more than 3 miles and they hurt. -

Add some notes on fit please.
I've not yet tried a Vaporfly model -- I was concerned about slippage issues -- but it looks like I should take the plunge on this one. I usually wear size 11; anyone know what size I should grab so I can, as someone mentioned upthread, "pretend to be fast" for my fall marathon?
(And yes, that's exactly what I'm doing. I don't care. Gobble gobble, poor MFers who can't afford to drop $275 on a pair of shoes for a PR. Total marathon cost including shoes and travel: $2000. Bragging rights: Priceless.) -

Some of the BTC Elite (not the pro group; their "sub elite" group) posted on instagram today that these were the shoes they wore. They were all black. -

On the fence...I like the drainage for my sweaty feet, but not loving the lowered drop for my heel striking. Doubt you notice the 15% more foam. Prob just a better upper from the current version
Aww hell what am I saying. Take my money.
That looks very similar to Zoom Fly SP upper! (Good) I believe for wider feet -
Not many things in life are as ridiculous as marathon midpackers wearing the Vaporfly. A guy running 3hours for a marathon wearing those shoes is screaming "look at me, I'm a moran".
