Why do you have the Greatest Of All Time at #7? Kipsang FTW.

Kipsang won't win but he's not been consistent. That is his only problem. He'll do well though.

This is hard to predict.
We might just be in for a total shock in both events.
I want to argue with this, but I’m not sure I can. Totally plausible times for the leaders, though I think you might be selling Kipchoge short by not going 2:02 low.
I actually think it’s possible that Sisson sneaks into the Top 5 if the pace is honest. The women’s field is SO stacked that they might chew themselves up trying to hang with Keitany and create some space for Sisson, if she can run close to her potential.
Thank you man.

Impressed by how fast you're willing to guess. Very, very fast guesses.

No. The mighty Sir will indeed win in 2:04-mid to 2:04-high.
You are forgetting that London is his home town.
No way Kipchoge loses this race. If weather is good, the odds are even better for Kipchoge as others will be forced to stay with the pacers for first half or be left behind. Kipchoge loses no ground in 2nd half - he likely puts everyone away with negative split pace.
I have no idea how Farah will do. Maybe he’ll surprise with huge PR, but I still don’t see him beating Kipchoge.
Interesting video of Kipchoge in his training camp put out by the London Marathon. Eliud even talked about making the marathon into some type of team even similar to cycling or Formula1 racing.

“I trust that in the future, the marathon will actually be a team effort. Maybe in the future, in 10 years time, the marathon will be like cycling... So I think at that time the sport will be really interesting.” -Eliud Kipchoge

I hope Kipsang doesn’t follow the others if they decide to go with Eliud’s pace. Look at what keeping one’s head did for Vivian last year.
I like your prediction sir.

I concur.
HE just needs to 'feel his body' and not go out on a suicidal pace like the rest. I have a feeling Kipchoge has a plan and the plan is to go for the course record. that is the surest way of winning given his level. Anyone who tries to go out with him will have a rough morning.

Mo Farah's a non-African? Huh...

Will he be wearing the 5%? New world record? It'll be good to see what a real runner can do with the 5%.

I wish Bekele was running too :(. Hopefully he will comeback for an epic race soon
For some strange reason I knew you were going to say something like that.

fastest third ever is 2.19.36. I think that will be gone but not down to 17.40. A quarter of all the runs under 2.20 have been in London, so there is history here.

Farah will try to keep it as slow as possible for the kick
Kipchoge will push with Kitata
if time is slower than 2:03:50 Farah has a chance
I go with Kipchoge with 2:03:20
No matter how slow it is, Kipchoge is the favorite. He has a better kick than Farah. (2 mile run remember?)
Biannual doperfest. For fanboys, fun to watch like WWE wrestling but everyone knows nothin is legit.
regardless of what the result is, Farah will be pulled to a sub 2:04 marathon, which would be HUGE. sub 2:03 is VERY possible as well.
Kipchoge will use London a tune up for sub 2 part 2 this fall/winter.

Yes, Great Britain/England is in Europe, He has been there since he was 8 years old, before anyone could have known he had a talent for running, He is a Brit, I am sure Winston Churchill is one of his heroes, he probably likes the beatles, he heard stories of British Runners like, Coe, Cram, Ovett, Bedford, Foster, Moorecroft, Elliot, Jones etc. that inspired him.
