That means you're lean and shouldn't worry about your weight and focus on training.

I looked up my BMI after seeing this.
I ran 2:17 last fall. 5'-10", 160 lbs on race day.
That's a BMI of 23.
not a single one of these people are telling the truth lol
I’m interested in the lightest and leanest.
I know people want to ignore it but most of the guys running below 2:20 are freaking lean and light as hell.

Me running 2:20:08 on a very windy day December of 1973. At a little over 6 feet there was not much meat on the bone.

Obvious guy is obvious.
This is one reason why the best runners are born not made.
I was never lighter than 143lb at 5”5.5’ (close to 24 BMI) even while averaging close to 100mi a week for almost a decade, going upwards of 120-140mi, long runs of 22-26mi, etc and only ran 2:32 after half a dozen or more attempts.
Alan
Ghost of Ig——you look Kenyan lean.
Thanks for the awesome photo.
I’d love to drop 10 pounds and see what would happen. I’m a 2:25 guy and with some serious discipline it is possible.
