Do you mean when she's under anesthesia?

I had been injured for years and suddenly these shoes came out and I started wearing them and have been healthy ever since! It's not just a coincidence.

The 4% strikes again.
Any basis for this?
One day we will find out that these shoes cause injuries. Give it time.
kind of reminds me of this!

Correct. It is not.

She did a lot of training in Forest Park. One foot way below the other for miles on the side slope. Why not blame Forest Park?

Kipchoge's still injury free.
Shalane looks like she overstrides. If you look at her races, her cadence is much lower than the runners around her.
Surprised that it took this long for her to have knee problems.

People, not all people.

Why not blame the round earth? Cambered everywhere.

People who have been injury free for years are bound to get injured eventually. Who stays injury free their whole career?
Since she’s overtrained for years now, most likely she is getting stem cells to stave off arthritis and osteopenia.
She’ll be back to try for the US masters record — her last pay day as a pro

Recently got these:
https://www.nike.com/t/zoom-fly-flyknit-mens-running-shoe-VtMfV3/BV6103-002While not exactly the 4%, they have the same carbon spring. Only wore them twice, both times I felt my Achilles and plantar act up more than usual. These carbon sprinted shoes remind me of the ring in the lord of the rings.
I wore it exclusively for about 1.5 months on the road. I also had arch issues. Before that, I ran in it for 2 months exclusively training on the track and I had no problem. I don't know if it was the shoes or doing lots of miles on the road. I was doing runs on track because of softer surface until it was closed over the winter break for college kids. Then I went on the road and discovered how great the cushioning was on ZF Flyknit. I was running insane amount of miles until the arch problem. It wasn't PF but I don't know. Maybe it was on the way to becoming a PF.
I love the shoes but I am not sure about the inflexibility of the shoes due to the carbon plate. I definitely noticed a change in running gait in the lower legs area. One time I changed to Brooks Ghost 11, my lower legs were like dangling, pronating and supinating, like crazy for the first 2 miles of the run. I've never experienced this before. It's almost as if the lower legs didn't have to do any work under ZF and it didn't know what to do when I put Ghost on.
I was wondering if Epic React would be the way to go. I want the superb cushioning of ZF for training runs without the possible side effects of the carbon plate.

Do they train in the VF? If one wants to make this dubious argument that the VF caused the knee injury... At least provide that info. Shalane is on record that she used the VF in training. But this means nothing cause and effect of the shoes
I've seen a lot pics of Nike runners using VF or ZF Flyknit during training.

I've run about 300 miles between the Zoom Fly and 4% and haven't had any issues.
I did have some initial soreness in calves but adjusted after slowly introducing them into my routine.
This may be a case of people doing too much too soon with a different shoe technology. However, I'd think the pros would be smarter about stuff like this.
I find it easier to believe that people who use the 4% shoe are ambitious so train more and reach an injury limit. There may well be a correlation but it more likely goes through brain than the shin.
