No - if he waits, he ends up in a three-way spring instead of a two-way sprint. Only he knows why he pulled up, but I'd guess something was hurting and he needed to lay off the gas.
He couldn't break through his central governor. Only if he could've break on through to the other side, he would've won.
I think it looks like he pulled up ...what...maybe 50 feet before the finish because he slipped a bit on one of those white street stripes which were wet. Seriously, the quick little oh sh1t motion he made looks like he slipped.
Anyone notice that?
