Fisher for the win in 13:29
Total control.
Looked effortless, like a planned training run the way he ran most of the race and then the last three laps.

More importantly, he ran 4:05 for the last 1600 and 3:01 for the last 1200. He tied up the last 150, which is probably a good thing for April. 600-200 was probably 58.

His penultimate lap was a 60, so his last lap was 59. And yes, he did look like he was moving the most between 600 and 200 to go.
He is the fastest Fish on the planet. Faster then a black marlin and definitely the fastest Fish out of water.
Joking aside, those are some very fast splits.

Sure would like to see Fisher in a fast race where he is pulled along.
The rest of his races will be tactical. Hopefully he runs at Pre and in Europe this summer.
Cooper Teare ran 13:32 and PR'd by 13 seconds.
Excellent run by Teare. Will there finally be a CA prep star who achieves success at the next level?

This is a good list, because we are always so quick to say "yeah, he ran fast as a junior, but..." and then follow up with a story of a kid who flamed out. But this list only has two flameout (Sanchez and Fernandez), two active runners that we will see about, but are running well so far (mcgorty and fisher) and the remaining 6 all had solid careers. So only 2 of 10 were clear flameouts, I might have to rethink my knee jerk reaction.
Of course, this is a juniors list, I wonder how the percentages look if you went to an earlier age group, or how the girls list compares.

No. Your Junior eligibility is the year in which you turn 19. In other words, he's eight months too old.

He is too old but, if we're counting, it's four months, not eight. If he had an April birthday, he'd be eight months too old.
Half a second PR for Fisher off a slow pace and a big close. The battle between him and McDonald at NCAAs will be awesome. I’m leaning towards Fisher.
Why did Joe Klecker run at Bryan Clay and not at Stanford?
