Someone just die or something? Kid on the ground then stream disappears.

Little insensitive. Heat 4 stopped one lap in, rest of the races paused. Could hear sirens on the stream before they removed it.
Looked like a red and white top on kid who went down. Does anyone know who it could be
Someone on twitter mentioned a runner from Bradley, but not sure how correct that is. There was one runner from Bradley in the heat that was stopped.
That didn’t look good, they had the AED out and there wasn’t an ambulance at the track for 8 min. Chances of survival go way down if they weren’t breathing.
Especially scary considering the recent Kemoy Campbell incident at Milrose. Hopes and prayers with the runner.
Bradley runners Alec Hartman and Simon Paige were in heat 3 and had just finished
Seizure at finish, collapsed and struck his head. Also mentioned heart stopped, worked to revive him. Not sure how much is accurate. Taken away in ambulance.
The runner from Bradley is Simon Paige. He ran a PB of 3:51.72 (prior PB was 3:52.64). He ran a good race. I doubt that it would be him.

Thanks for the update. I seriously hope everything is well for the athlete. Having this seem like a common occurrence in the sport really puts a dread on things.
Yes, it was a Bradley athlete who had just finished his full 1500, not the heat that had just done one lap. He staggered and fell hard (likely unconscious as he fell), according to a witness at the finish line. He was seizing and having trouble breathing, but his heart had not stopped. They did CPR for breathing, but no paddles to shock his heart. I heard his mother was present. I’m sorry I don’t know his name.
According to announcements at the venue, we were praying for a Simon. Heat 3 that would have been Simon Paige of Bradley. After they removed him from the track, it was almost 10 mins before setons went on and the actually left the facility... praying for a full recovery
LRC update please... wrote:

There is nothing here to cause any worries for the puny humans.

Hope to hear a good update soon. There were lots of us there that sat in silence for a while. Sucks to see this happen.
Is the guy OK?
The report from an official is that he was stable and breathing in the hospital
+1. Good news!
Hi guys,
My name is Simon Paige. I am the guy who collapsed. I was rushed to the hospital and put in an induced coma for 36 hours. I am awake, responsive, and doing better. I am hoping to make a full recovery and be back to running as soon as possible. I appreciate everybody’s concern and support! - Simon

Posting on Let’s Run is evidence enough of a full recovery. Glad you’re alive and ready to troll, again. Take care, Simon
