Should ask, “where are they running ...”?

Cherono, Wasihun, Kitata, Kipserem and technically Molla from my top 10, unless you know any of their plans. Molla surprised me running the 2 mile at Pre, as I figured he’d switch to the marathon after his 2:03:34 debut. He was entered in the 5k in Lausanne but didn’t start, so maybe he is in fact headed to the roads. I think he’s a major threat.

I believe Cherono at the worlds.

Leule G., Adola, Legese, and Sisay Lemma are running Berlin. If the other article saying Legese is representing Ethiopia at the worlds is right, he will be a busy boy.

Damn Statman, I was missing all your posts, and it’s a shame because I find them quite interesting.
Salpeter wound up 2nd in that race in 31:15, as I’m sure you know. 1. Twell 31:08, 2. Salpeter 31:15 3. McColgan 31:16.
I’m honestly surprised that so many of the top athletes are racing the WCs, but it’s exciting.
Berlin will be here before we know it. Let us know if you see a men’s elite field announced.

we just need another four to complete a 20, in a hypothetical, with 4 of the top 60 competing in lanzhou as we speak, if one can crush the course record there: would she deserve a place in 17-20 here?
Just considering another four to make this list: maybe B.Dibaba (9th in London, winner Tokyo last year), Meskerem Assefa (4th Boston after two wins in under 2.22 in 2018), Y.Melese (disappointing 11th in Tokyo after two quick performances under 2.21 last year), and Boru Feyse Tadese (hasn’t run since second in Dubai early 2018). They are the veterans, the four up and comers in the mix are Bedatu Hirpa, Dera Dida, Azmera Abreha, and Visiline Jepkesho.
Jepkesho ran a half in Bogota last week, 8th in 79.41.

Not on this list, but France has chosen Morhad Amdouni to run the Marathon at the world champs.

Just read an article dated 1 June saying the Ethiopian team for the world champs will be Worknesh Degefa, Shute Demise, Ruti Aga, Roza Dereje, and Helen Tola. Cannot believe I hadn’t seen it before.
Worknesh and Aga named for New York in first week of November, will they do both?

I intend to update my rankings after every WMM, world championship and Olympic marathon until the forum’s shut down or I die.
Next up, my #s 1, 3, 4, 5 & 7 will clash in London. Wilson Kipsang, Tamirat Tola, Mule Wasihun, Daniel Wanjiru & Abraham Kiptum will look to crack my list.
Kitata and desisa in NY

Add in Kamworor and Albert Korir as they prepare for New York in twelve weeks?

Track and field news predicts Aga second but no Degefa top three. Must be not running it.

Yes to geremew but no to desisa but add molla. Also Kipserem from Kenya if track and field news are right.

Ruth breaks another course record in a half, this time in South America
Thinking about a hypothetical. The way I think it will pan out over the fall is: Vivian or Cherono in Berlin in a faster time than New York, Ruth over Aga in the worlds (slow time), Chicago who knows, and Degefa over Mary in New York, breaking the course record. Where would this project these rankings for year-end ones?
