I had a 10 mile race and the few runs after felt fine, but it wasn’t until 3 days after the race I felt a dull pain on my foot.
I ran that afternoon (easy 3 mile double) and when I went for a walk to a library to study, my foot began to cramp really badly and I couldn’t walk. I rested it through the night and the next morning i could barely walk (limped my way to class)
I decided to go to the doctors and they said I have a stress fracture, but my foot hurts in such an odd place. There is not spot that i can push on to make it hurt, it hurts on the lateral end of my foot in the soft area between before the 5th metatarsal. I was thinking making a cuboid stress fracture? I heard those are rare, so I’m not sure. Has anyone else experienced this? Im currently resting and in a boot, but I don’t think it is a stress fracture.
