I'm a freshman in high school doing track and this is my first year doing a sport. I've ran the 400/800/1600 this season. My PR progression has been 59-58-57.5, 2:20-2:18-2:15, and 5:29-5:24-5:17. Which event looks the most promising for next year?

I think 800 was your best event this year. In a year or two with some more miles under your belt it could easily be 1600. Now is definitely not the time to specialize.
