A couple questions for any LRC linguists out there. On these boards I often see "women" used as a singular noun ("a women).
Is this a regional/colloquial thing? And, secondly, how is it pronounced when used as a singular? As a plural, I generally hear it pronounced something like "wimmin," while I hear "woman" pronounced "woomin."
Just curious. I had never encountered this before reading the LRC message board.
