How did these singlets get pass the boardroom meeting?
How did these singlets get pass the boardroom meeting?
I don't know. They are truly awful.
Yeah those are fugly.
You're right. I *MUCH* prefer the "everyone in the same colored singlet" that people b*tch about on these boards all the time.
LetsRun message board:
Different singlet/design/colors = complain
Same singlet/design/colors = complain
Please, please feel free to come up with a design and 10 different colorways and coordinate them all so that you can tell who everyone is at all times on race days. You know walk up to the athletes and say "Rupp is going to wear this color and Kurui this color and Lelisa this color and X and X and X, so you need to wear this color." Deal? If not, stop your b*tching
It would make sense that people would complain about different t singlets as there are a lot of people on letsrun and I’m guessing they don’t all have the same taste in clothing. So when something different comes out there will be a group that posts the new item is ugly - and another group that likes it
you must be 60
I like them! There are different and add a little color to the same old plain singlet.
I don't really care for the design but that's not my problem with them. I just can't stand that Nike is dominating the sponsorship of pro athletes. I dislike everyone being under the pay of Nike. Take a look at Pro Tennis for more of the same. Everyone's wearing the same clothes. Boooooo!

Wait til you see Mao Far—, I mean Mo Farah’s London singlet.
I like them! What do you do when you don't run?

While I agree with your "nobody is ever satisfied", "Letsrun will complain no matter what" sentiment....
Those Nike uniforms are horrendous. Ironically, they finally put different athletes in a few different colors (addressing the complaint that everyone wears the same uniform), they created the most dreadful uniform ever.

Bad news...Mo didn’t get his, he refused to answer the doorbell for fedex so it got returned to sender.
I agree the singlets and shorts are disgustingly ugly.

I love these. Nike is the only company taking running to the next level . Shoe technology and innovative fabrics on clothing .
I think they were designed to work something like this. http://www.coolhunt.net/gianmarco-tamberi-the-half-beard-man
Tamberi has left himself open to someone also shaving half his hair, preferably on the opposite side.
The shorts look solid blue. Noticed a similar pattern on Hasay's jersey.

I don't mind so much everyone being in the pay of Nike; what I object to is everyone looking like a Nike employee.
there was a thread on here recently where a high-schooler was whining about his coach making him run three races at a meet and the response from LetsRun was, basically, "it's a team sport, stop bitching and be a team player."
okay, so if it's a team sport (which is a notion I do not particularly buy into), but if it is a team sport, what they should do is have teams and make their singlets in team colours - which is what singlets were for in the first place, to identify your team. instead of having 50 guys in multi-coloured Nike vests that no one in their right mind would ever buy because it makes you look like a snake just vomit on your shirt, they should have team singlets. give the teams made up names like the Hopkinton Harriers or the Boston Bandits or something, have the guys wear team vests and have hte same teams compete against each other over a whole season and then the crowds can have something to root for instead of a bunch of anonymous guys in vests you wouldn't be seen dead in.
cheers.
