You must be new here. The guy is borderline illiterate.
Clearly a wall is needed, he has been crossing this particular border for years.

Let me start by writing this. After more than a year away from the marathon, it was great to see Jordan out there competing well. She's clearly made for the marathon.
The third place showing likely will motivate her to continue to dream big, but we need to also acknowledge what we acknowledged going in - the women's field wasn't super strong this year. In the end, only two women broke 2:25.
Yes the 73 first half made a sub-2:25 somewhat hard to accomplish given the 2nd half is hilly but it was doable. In 2017 Hasay ran 72:33 - 70:37 to run 2:23:00. Today, after a 73:08 first half, she ran a 72:12 2nd half.
Coming in there was 3 that I thought were better than Hasay and 2 of them beat her. Hasay taking third over Meskerem Assefa of Ethiopia (2:20:36 pb) was nice as Assefa has won 4 marathons in the last 2 years including Nagoya and Frankfurt last year, but I don't think she's quite back to where she was.
So a big step in the right direction but let's see if she can keep this momentum going.
Believe it's "there were 3" Not "was 3".

What a ridiculous troll thread... praising a couple US men who finished 7th and 8th for successfully running under a round number, yet bashing Jordan Hasay for finishing 3rd after an injury layoff? Round numbers are what it is all about! I guess you would have been happier if she ran 2:24:59 and finished 6th? But no...
This thread is about generating drama clicks from the letsrun degenerates at any cost. Unfortunately, the typical letsrunner would have very little interest in a positive thread about a high school phenom yet again defying the odds and overcoming adversity as an adult. Stay classy, letsrun!
really happy with the lrc response on here. times are changing & the brojos need to catch up. Fauble & Ward had good runs today. Jordan had an amazing run as well. Comes off an injury to grab 3rd and you troll her and praise them. Let's celebrate our runners and come up with better takes than this.

The women's field was relatively weak, but it was still decent. The weather was slightly better in 2017. Most of the course ended up being a cross-wind, not tail, and that doesn't nearly have the same cooling effects as a headwind. The temperatures weren't exactly ideal and it was a bit muggy.
In 2017 she had a pack to run with up until Newton when it broke away and they ran a little more smooth. This year, they let the leader go early and it almost got a little tactical in the chase pack as evident to why Kiplagat was able to make such a powerful move. She competed, not worrying about time, but rather just securing 3rd once Kiplagat surged. She ended up beating Desi by a 1min and 40 seconds.
I'll give Hasay some major credit here because I feel like she's being overshadowed by Ward and Fauble. 3 top 3 finishes in a WMM (or equivalent back in the day) is something no other american woman has done for a while. Yes Ward/Fauble ended the sub-2:10 from an American not named Rupp drought, but it was going to happen eventually and sub-2:10 happens so often. Hasay if she can get healthy again is showing promise of an outside shot at medalling in Tokyo. No disrespect, but I can't say the same about Ward or Fauble.

On both fronts. The thread was garbage.
Brakes, moran.
Congratulations Jordan! You are amazing and you set yourself up for an amazing Olympic Marathon Trials Run in Atlanta next year. Go train hard , stay healthy and go to Atlanta to kick some butt!
I don’t understand the point of this thread. Was this just click bait?
I don’t know what’s worse, the obvious (but somewhat dismissive) post or the fact that i fell for the click bait headline.

Meant to quote this post above.

Try: "Coming in there were three"
was = singular
were = plural
In the podcast they were saying that they didn't think Hasay's chances were very good. I'm impressed. 2:25 is still a fast time. She'll get back down there in a year or two.
Are you freaking kidding me robert? What a joke this site has become.

Trash podcast, shouldn't be listening to it.

Before I went to Princeton my vocabulary was small. Now it is big .
Who can forget the video of her and Mary Cain in a mile track workout with Cain easily handling Jordon and each rep and Salazer feeling sorry for Hasay lack of speed etc . Now look at things .
Love Hasay at the Marathon
