Okay, Oregon can do whatever they want. The three women they signed are extremely good and Helen has great relations with the European scene with how she built that USF team up. She almost won NCAAs that way and it would make sense for her to do that at Oregon.....but is anyone else a little annoyed by this? I thought Oregon was THE coaching gig to be at to recruit and develop the best American-born runners. Colorado and Stanford obviously have somewhat equal footing but not the storied history that Oregon has.
Is this the route she will take? Will Oregon mostly be an international development program with a smattering of American HSers in the future? I don't think its necessary but it certainly does open the door for other teams to capitalize on the U.S. talent.
