where can we get live splits?
So far by watching an american channel I found out that you guys really love the wheelchair race. I wonder why. Perhaps because americans are actually winning or perhaps because extra body weight does not matter. Interesting to see that though

Rojo, any chance you might consider a Letsrun live commentary of big races ? Basically, just the live thread but on a stream. Would love to just mute NBCs stream and hear you guys provide actual mile splits, discussion about the race, etc.
I'd love to do that but think I'd get sued. I should really let beg them to let us do the international feed. I could fake nice coverage of the wheelchair guys.
A few years ago, we did keep our podcast going for the first half of the race. We just would sort of say the type of things we'd type on the messageboard. I think if I do play byplay i get sued.
Push rim is considered a different category from hand cycle. Boston only does push rimnow, but that is Why they refer to it that way

Not only that, but Gold isn't even bothering with any split screens. They just show each race for a couple minutes and then ignore it for 10 minutes.
Does anybody care about the wheelchair race or is it all for the PC crowd? NBC gold has been only showing that for past 5 minutes.
Can we get back to the real race?
The amount of time spent on the push rim race is amazing... Why does Boston spend so much time on this race. I don't think the other majors show as much.

I like the wheelchair races, but I also want to see split screens. I don't NOT want to watch either the men or women's able bodied marathon for minutes at a time.
I've seen Degefa run for about 2 minutes total on my Gold feed.
Daniel Romanchuk - First US men's winner since 1993. College student who had to get permission from his profs. This is a great story. I can understand why there was a lot of focus there.

15:10 for the men at 5k. American Jeff Eggleston leading the way. They're on 2:08:00 pace. It's downhill, of course, but that's not slow.
You're the only informative post here and tv coverage. thank you , keep it up ( you need your own thread)
It would be fun to be a spectator on the course at mile 15 o 16 and to lie to the chase pack of women and tell them Degefa had dropped out.

Legit stream here:

I have this on the computer and NBC Sports on the TV. They are different coverages with different commercial breaks so a little better coverage overall.
It works for me in Norway
I'd be shocked if Degefa wins from the front like this
Any word yet on how many football fields Degefa's gap is?
