Hot damn!! Nice!
Sad race. Massively doped winners on both sides. Italian agents chuckling as they count their lire.
As always, congrats to my Japanese brothers and sisters.
LOL
I wonder who would be the first elite to congratulate Jordan, Jeez we know she trains with NOP but come on lol

Great result for Fauble and Ward. The ran at their maximum on a big day. Yes this shows that breaking 2:10 for U.S.men is very possible.
This was shown over 40 years ago.

They just showed Jimmie Johnson. Is he a nascar guy? They said he was hoping to break 3 hours? Could that be true. He didn't look very thin to me. I'd be STUNNED if he did that. No way could I come within an hour of that and we are nearly the same age.

Discussing eating disorders openly is very important. It's more dangerous if we tried to ignore this stuff/censor any voices speaking out against it.

Come on rojo I thought youd be all over this. He set the 3 hour goal to push himself although realistically it was unlikely. Trained up to 80 miles a week but any time he went over, he’d have issues. All from this article
https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nascar-auto-racing/article228980324.htmlHey, Brojos - To update the controversial 2 minute wait for the sub-elites, were there any men who could've been in the prize money that started 2 minutes later? What was the fastest men's time for the sub-elites?

Umm.....just wondering: Did someone say this was his first marathon? How did he qualify to get into Boston? Is this a job for Marathon Investigations?

so is there a men's race happening today?
This kind of political correctness run amok, with broadcasters giving the women more airtime than the men, has been going on in major marathons for years now. Today's coverage was a disgrace; at one point -a crucial point, when moves were being made and runners dropped- NBC cut away from the men's race for over 22 minutes straight to focus on the top women finishing. They didn't even bother using a split screen.
And when the men's race was being shown, Craig Masback and the other announcers were their usual inept selves, barely mentioning the names of any of the athletes, split times, or who was in what position. It was like listening to an extraneous gab fest while there just happened to be a marathon going on in the background.
In contrast, I watched the Paris-Roubaix bike race the night before ,also on NBC, and the announcers -Phil Liggett and Bob Roll- were constantly identifying the leaders and their pursuers, how much of a lead there was, as well as the riders' team affiliations, nationalities, and recent accomplishments, and there were onscreen graphics giving the riders' speed, distance covered vs. distance remaining, etc. Then again, cycling coverage is aimed at more of a hardcore audience, while marathon coverage -at least here in the U.S.- is still treated like a human interest story.

He's rich and famous. He gets to run. End of story. If Obama wanted to run do you think they'd make him jump through the bullshit qualifying hoops?
