Desisa didn’t keep his form right!
Ethiopians will be pissed ! Ethiopians are the elite kickers over Kenyans . Kenyans are the fastest over distances
Desisa got outkicked.
Boss, that is a fable. We are kickers and we kick.
We also take it out long hard .WE take it as it comes. We thrive under any conditions.
its on now.
I missed the whole thing this time, but I am stoked about Fauble and Ward running 2:09. That is the first sign of progress we have had from anyone other than Rupp in a decade. Maybe this is an artifact of the shoes (assuming they were wearing the 4s), but in any case no one else in this country other than Rupp was doing anything with the cheater shoes, so huge props to them. No reason in the world that we shouldn't have multiple guys sub 2:10 every year with the level of talent we have at 5, 10, and half.
according to the baa website Cherono's last mile was 4:29.
Is that the fastest close ever? Anyone know of a faster last mile in a major ?
Jordan needs a speech coach. It’s so unnatural and Saturday night live’ish.
As soon as she starts talking, you want her to stop.
Des admitted to helping a NOP member and gave praise to Jordan.
Does anyone know what Jordan's post-race workout was? 7 x 1000 meters? Something more extreme?

you realize Scott is using carbon rockets and Jared is using whatever unnamed creation Saucony has yet to give Molly Huddle
Jared just ran two minutes faster than his lifetime PR, frontrunning into headwind

You ever been interviewed right after 26.2?
anyone got a top 10 men finish times?
Great result for Fauble and Ward. The ran at their maximum on a big day. Yes this shows that breaking 2:10 for U.S.men is very possible.

Bull crap. Track says otherwise. . As well as Bekele outkicking my favorite Kipsang.
You guys are known for going out fast and blAzing, Ethiopians are known for sitting and then kicking the last 1-2miles.
That’s the difference in styles.
But things could be changing because Ayana isn’t a kicker and genzebe appears to have lost her kick. But Kejelka and Barega are still there so Kenyans ain’t winning anytime soon on the track.
That finish deserves a front page.

who handed Sara Hall a piano this race?
maybe she is not back 100%
She posted advise yesterday about not holding anything back. Well, Boston doesn't work that way. She will learn...

Feel so bad for Desisa. Guy looked absolutely terrible but was running on all grit in that last stretch. He loves Boston and clearly wanted to get the win in front of a crowd that loves him back. A lot of times that raw emotion and truly "going to the well" seems lost in professional distance running, but Desisa brought that today. Seeing him absolutely crushed after the finish reminds me of my high schoolers. Just hope he doesn't beat himself up too much about it. Hats off to him for one of the best finishes in Boston history.
He made a smart move grabbing the inside corner in and out of Hereford Street before the last stretch on Boylston. The coverage I was watching had a bad angle for the finish looking straight on at the runers so you couldn't tell who was ahead or where the finish line was. Close to the finish, it looked like Desisa put out his arms to obstruct anyone trying to pass? It also looked like he cracked and let up before the line but it might just have been the bad angle. Anyone get a better view from the point where he put his arms out until they crossed the line?
