Fauble spit out the back :/
Fauble spit out the back :/
NBC in general has been good with this coverage, way better than previous years.
I prefer the women over the men because the competition is better, and even though degefa is way ahead. The women have been racing where the men are bunched up as usual looking at each other.
Kiplagat made up 19 seconds in .748 miles (from mile 21 to 35k). That's equal to 25 seconds for a full mile.
That still wouldn't be enough to catch Degefa if she could maintain that the whole way. Kiplagat does look tremendous.
Degefa looks ok.
Men going up Hearbreak now. Jared Ward has been looked.
even kiplagat finish 2 nd beaitiful race stride joyfully downhill go babe
SO WHO WINS THIS MEN'S RACE????

Also have to agree, Kirui looks very smooth and relaxed. No one else looks that good at this point
I am calling it for Lawrence Cherono but yes, Kirui looks good.
ward is done for
btw Joan Benoit just broke 1:30 for the half, which doesn't sound impressive until you realize she is 61 now
I can't remember how often people neg-split Boston, does it happen?
Ward and Inoue out the back.
NBC commercials always start with americans in the lead and come back with the africans in the lead....ugg

Funny to compare road surface quality between major European marathons and Boston. The US really has sh*tty infrastructure.
Yeah that great European infrastructure that the US paid for after WW2.
anyway, don't judge based on Boston's roads - the weather there tears them up unlike anything you see across the pond.
