Why do people wear Oakleys? May as well flush two hundred dollars down the crapper
Why do people wear Oakleys? May as well flush two hundred dollars down the crapper
No way. Oakley lens are designed so that there is no or very minimal optical distortion, They have superior impact resistance (very important when bicycling or even running) and have fit features that allow one to wear them all day in comfort. You get what you pay for in many products. This is definitely one of them.
Why do 4.5 hour marathoners wear VF4%?
Why do people buy PT Cruisers?
Why do people shop at Abercrombie?
Why did people vote for Trump?
People are idiots and will do whatever they think will make them happy, however asinine it may be.
I have about 10 pairs as my eye plan includes free sunglasses.
Why Oakleys? Because the optical clarity is second to none. I have tried other brands and I notice the little abberations and other things in the lens which dry me nutz.
Also, I like the plastic they use and the non curved ear sockets, which is great for athletics.
My go to running pair is actually a pair of the m frame like swappable lens styles, I have a nice red road lens for sun and biking, and a photo chromatic lens with clear to kinda dark for overcast days.
Have yet to find any other brand that comes close, though I do agree they are a bit overpriced.

Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
