Chris. You are absolutely right. He is not running a marathon every day. He is running the total mileage of a marathon a day with hour or more long breaks between. To me the definition of a marathon is the time it takes to run 26.2 INCLUDING water, aid, bathroom. The clock starts with a chip/gun and the clock stops once you hit 26.2, PERIOD. By Mike’s definition one could theoretically run a 1 1/2h ‘marathon’ in 24 hours if you were fast in the mile.
I also find it crazy that he talks about kindness, love in one strava comment. Only to have another comment where he is clearly angry and negative towards another runner.
It’s seems like money (or lack there of) and his job (or
lack there of) are really soft or trigger points for him.
