It's just like Letsrun to use the outdated and misogynistic term "history" instead of opting for a gender neutral alternative.

And your histrionic post serves what purpose?

To be a joke, you autist.
This appears to be more evidence of the proliferation of PEDs in the sport.
yup, and i was lead to believe cycling had the biggest doping issue..
This will be recorded in zero history books ever.
Probably not even books on the history of running. Nobody's going to write "in 2018 Kipchoge ran a 2:01:39!!!! oh and then the next year two people went sub 2:05 on the same day in different places..."
Barring disaster, whatever Kipchoge does this year will be what's written about, as far as marathons go.
The collective yawn heard over the weekend was the world pretty much ignoring distance running. Why? You know exactly why. As long as it continues it will get worse till the sport completely dies.
I am up for the good stats, the quirky story

As was exactly the intent of mine. As a matter of fact mine was a tad wittier than HIS.
It wouldn't be HIS-tory if women had done it....
^ rojo trying to prove that women are half as good as men
Does that mean Jesus is coming to end the world?

No, it wouldn't be HIS-tory if womyn had done it.
Don't mind all the trolls here rojo. Just because this history isn't as big as Bekele(I'm sure the later part of this year will be epic when he clears his injuries and races again), doesn't mean this isn't a really cool or interesting event. This is a running site so we all want to know interesting facts. Ok so it won't make the history book but who cares? Most of the people here, along with the crap they put on this site won't make the history books ever either.

Yup, part of the show. Look here for a comparison of blood doping in cycling and athletics (and that's only the ones with extreme ret-%, i.e. the tip of the iceberg):
http://features.thesundaytimes.co.uk/web/public/2015/the-doping-scandal/assets/images/cycling.jpgI am hoping Kipserem and one that he beat, Saina, have a third volume to their joint story later this year in one of the majors.
Got to be the shoes.

+1
Furthermore, 'history' is the name of an iconic Michael Jackson album - a known and unconvicted predator. I feel triggered and violated merely at the association. Please ban all further usage of the term 'history'.
